What was your first CP year?

2006... my husband’s leg was in a cast which is the only reason I remember for sure.

If you could do a CP play again which would you choose and why?

I had to go down a FB messenger wormhole to find the playwright but I figured it out (thanks Vince!) CATCHING CLOWN by Kevin Jones. It was one of the many times I was paired with Robbie Weinstein.... it was the Year of the Fear.... our infant was turning into clown before our eyes. It was meant to be scary. We had to work unbelievably hard not to weep with laughter. Loved that play.

Who would you love to take the CP stage with and why?

Robbie will always be my CP husband and I would play with him onstage anytime anywhere but if we are making CP bucket lists I have ALWAYS wanted to do a two hander with Nicole Golden. Like I have fantasies about it. I might also have lustful acting thoughts about getting to do a really good scene with Laura Gourdine.

What raffle do you cross your fingers for?

Cherry Pie. I got it last year. Of course I can buy a stupid Cherry Pie anytime I want.... it tastes better if you win it at CP.... seriously it does.... I’ve done the research. And I’m greedy... I want it again.

What’s your favorite CP tradition?

Every year I look forward to arriving at the Saturday rehearsal and seeing everyone again for the first time in a year, but nothing beats locking eyes with Clare that first time... and then the hug... every year it chokes me up a little. That woman knows how to greet a friend. I really hate that we don’t get to do that this year. 2020 sucks for a great many reasons and I’m going to add “not getting to hug Clare Mottola” to the list.

At CP I am…

... an actor again. Also an agitator, an ensemble member, a listener, an onstage audience, a champagne cork popper, a greeter, a little bit drunk, a little bit brave, a part of a rag tag crew, super impressed by a great many courageous people and part of something much greater than myself.

What's the first thing you’ll do when quarantine is over?

I will teach a live and in person acting class. I will sit in the audience of a live theatrical show. I will hug people I don’t live with.

Not necessarily in that order.
