Retrospect(ive): Jones
What was your first CP year?
In past answers I’ve said I don’t know when my first year was - honestly I really don’t. But I remember being in a bar in the way west 20’s and feeling much younger. The talent in the room was immediately apparent - strangely, everyone else seemed younger then too.
If you could do a CP play again which would you choose and why?
Memory is a strange thing as I mention above. There was a play by someone named Diane (?) and I played a drag queen who was a gift in an office’s “secret Santa.” It was hilarious and I hope someone who publishes this will include the title in parentheses at the end of my answer.
Who would you love to take the CP stage with and why?
I love working with everyone at CP, and while I’m hard pressed to pick someone I’d like to share the stage with over anyone else, I can point to more than a few times when Chris and I have been paired in a scene and done really good and memorable work (thanks in no small part to our playwrights and Clare). Stage chemistry is a kind of alchemy but Chris seems to have the right elements with everyone he works with.
What raffle do you cross your fingers for?
I am southern and, unsurprisingly, I want pie.
What’s your favorite CP tradition?
Being in the same room with the talented people Clare and her Cherry Pickers bring together. 2021 is going to be a thing.
At CP I am…
In the moment.
What's the first thing you’ll do when quarantine is over?
SEE A PLAY!
