Week 1: The Doormen of New York

For our first round of Firsts-Related Canvassing, we focused on a pillar of New York society: Doormen. While they often act as confidants to a significant amount of this city's population (ourselves included), we started this endeavor by asking one question: How much do we actually know about the lives of those who welcome us into our homes on a daily basis ? So began our journey into the souls of a few wonderful Upper West Side doormen.

What we found was a small group of multitalented people who, while confused as to why we wanted their pictures, were beautifully honest and open to giving us snapshots of their lives, including some of the firsts they had experienced.

Until next time,
